Today's choice from the word pool was 'Balloon', so here's a short poem about picking ideas from the sky :-) In case you're interested, the rhyme scene is abcabcdd.
My helium-filled, rainbow thought balloons
Ascend slowly to the blue skies of my brain.
Some drift askew in the breeze of daily chore,
Among the inspirational stars and mundane moons,
But I grab at the dangling umbilical chains
Of those that shine, and pin them to the floor,
Where I pierce their skins, and inhale their scent,
And form my ideas from the firmament.
